Here is the Brisbane River Code of Conduct from Queensland Canoeing, published March 2015.
Please read the code of conduct, to ensure you are familiar with the rules when paddling on the Brisbane River.
Dear Clubs,
Following your valuable feedback, we are pleased to announce the publication of a brand new code of conduct for the Brisbane river.
As you can see we have achieved two significant changes:
- The code now recognises paddlers that travel on either side of the river.
- The area around the West End Canoe Club is now an official ‘Area of Caution’ to protect paddlers.
Please read the document for more information on these guidelines. You will also see that QC has a greater presence throughout the document.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will continue to lobby for the paddlers in Queensland.
