“The Estimator- October 2016”
On the second Saturday of October, the 8th, club members are invited to compete in our monthly FUN time- trial against the clock called- “The Estimate Cup”.
Upon arrival at the club, members receive an estimate of their expected finish time (determined by previous results or handicapper). From 6:30am, the first club members commence paddling (or racing) in a staggered, handicap start from the West End Canoe Club flag pole to the South Brisbane Railway Bridge and return (5.3km). The winner is the person who betters their personal best previous time by the greatest margin.
So… see you at club by 6:15am for mandatory pre-race safety briefing.
